Mine (N1S) are stable, my kids use them and they feel solid. They also stay in place when I fold them.
And yes, for the activation I also needed to contact support, but only for the first time, has been up and running since, no issues.

Humphrey van LeeParticipant
That’s strange! My limited edition 2017 does not have this magnet… Cheers, Axel
Just returned from the dealer today to have the software upgraded and the guy removed the magnet. It appears it is not for cruise control after all, it is a speed limiter. Cruise control is still working fine and now it does not throttle back anymore when going down hill. 🙂
Humphrey van LeeParticipantThat one looks good, single controller. Connection looks correct. Gonna look into it too..
Humphrey van LeeParticipantLearned from the dealer today that magnet is for the cruise control.
Humphrey van LeeParticipantI did not, I ordered the controller but was lucky to be able to cancel it. So now I’m back to square one 🙁 Waiting for a solution.
Humphrey van LeeParticipant2018 … 2 months old. It works fine, but sometimes I get that scraping sound for a few minutes and then it is gone again. Sometimes in the beginning, sometimes when I drive on a straight road. Very strange indeed. But I’m not worried, I guess it needs some adjustments, my dealer will find it.
Still very happy with it, with summer being here in NL I drive it daily and enjoying it.
Humphrey van LeeParticipantTo be honest I have the exact same problem since day 1, bought mine new. I’m bringing it in for service-check next week and I’m curious if they can fix this. Because it is annoying, but it is not all the time.
Humphrey van LeeParticipant
Bought a controller… big bad ass controller… Now good luck to figure out the cables…
Did it work?
Humphrey van LeeParticipant1700 and 130km (about 2 charging cycles?), I would take the 2017 and keep the 800 in your pocket. If you can miss it financially take the 2018. But the differences are not worth the 800 euro unless you want a new-new one.
(Why are they selling it already after just 130km? Is it ex-demo?)
Here in the NL the 2018 is 3000, so actually 2500 is already a good deal.

And? Did it work? If so I want to order the same 🙂
Humphrey van LeeParticipantWow, that looks different then the one I ordered. You have one plug, mine has 2. Could that be the difference between 2017 and 2018 version?
Still waiting for mine from Taobao to arrive though, has been 4 weeks already. :-/
Humphrey van LeeParticipantThanks for the photo’s, at least I know it is not just mine 🙂
Humphrey van LeeParticipant
Today during the cleaning I noticed the magnet and part of the controller (? got a led on it) on the front wheel. That made me wonder, did anyone try to move, or even remove, the magnet? Would that fool the speedometer and you would actually go faster? Anyone any thoughts on this?
Anyone any thoughts about this? Is it modifiable?
Humphrey van LeeParticipantCan anyone confirm this? (Please 🙂 )
Humphrey van LeeParticipantOh really? I ordered the same kit from Taobao 🙁 Do the connectors fit? But it does not work?
