So, here are some photos of what I received from China (split in two posts).
PS: at first I thought I bought cakes instead of a controller. :-)))
Again, here’s the link: https://www.ebuy7.com/item/574038970322
Then you have to choose the right model for you. I also bought the data cable, but still no idea how to use it, there are no instructions.

I just received mine and will install it this weekend. Anything I should know before I start? The instructions in the box are quite basic. Did you take a photo of the completed installation?
Cheers.
Enrico AtworkParticipantAxel, do you think we could move this conversation to the forum so we can post photos in future posts? This is getting interesting π
Enrico AtworkParticipantAndy, I have ordered the same kit yesterday. Was it a mistake from them? Or I need to order a special cable? Let me know if I need to correct my order right away!
Could you please post some photos?
Thanks mate!Enrico AtworkParticipantSo one of my main concerns right now, before I even receive and install the thing, is if NIU finds out as soon as the scooter connects to them…
Enrico AtworkParticipantOk, I have just ordered one….. I hope it’s not scam or the thing is useless. Can’t wait to try…. π
Enrico AtworkParticipantVery cool, this looks good. But does it go together with the actual controller or it substitutes it? I wonder if it is plug and play…
Enrico AtworkParticipantHey Andy, looking very much forward to your review! Could you share the link of this V3 you are talking about? Cheers
Enrico AtworkParticipantThanks for the clarification! Do myou know what is the top speed in mode 2?
Best.
Enrico AtworkParticipantI don’t think it’s illegal to sell. You can legally bua all sorts of tuning stuff for motorbikes and cars. It’s then your responsibility to use it or not.
I guess we are just so few, nobody gives too much attention to after sale stuff. I am starting to see way more UNU scooters around (I don’t really like their look), I wonder if they can be tuned up.Enrico AtworkParticipant
I⦠So if anybody is interesting in the controller kit, it is now for sale (in Germany).
After I checked my 2017 controller. But I think I cannot PM here.
Hey Andy, did you check your controller? Would it be compatible with the one on sale from China?
Is there anyone around who has tried the mod, or knows somebody in Europe who did it?
Enrico AtworkParticipantHey Andre, what model of the N1s do you have? 2018? 2017? (You gear controller is straight and black or round and gray?
Could you give some more information about the whole installing process of the new ECU?
ThanksEnrico AtworkParticipantI love it!
I am a bit disappointed about the double battery. I use the space underneath the seat a lot for helmet storage and other stuff.
I would like to know what happens if you only use one battery. The range will obviously be less, but the speed???
I wouldn’t mind 50/60 km range but 70kmh with a single battery.
(which is actually what would happen by changing the ECU as described in the mod/hack section of this forum?)
Enrico AtworkParticipantHi ya’ll,
so I finally managed to update the scooter and wanted to share some feedback. First of all, I was having problems with the GSM connection and I solved it simply by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. So I followed the instructions and the update was done in about 10 minutes.
Finally, the connection with the App works well! Now I can see the GPS position at all times, I can read the battery level and the remaining range.
The clock now displays the time correctly.
The top speed has not been affected, the display says 50kmh and the GPS tells me 47kmh. Pretty good. I can actually feel the push a bit stronger, but then again it is practically the same as before.
I still have to check the range, but that should not have changed and it is still at 6km each 10% of battery.
Cheers.
Enrico AtworkParticipant
It successfully updated the scooter from TRA01C03 to TRA01C10 in about 6 minutes
Hi Ryan, good to hear you made it. I have been trying today but I always get the “no signal” message. I’m in a good coverage area.
In the app, the scooter seems to be offline all the time. The last recorded position is from 40 days ago.
Maybe I should unbind the scooter and start all over again? Does the scooter need to be online in the app in order to make the update?
Thanks!
